#BookSpotlight - Meet Senthys Antonello, thief extraordinaire, hero of "Bro," a Space Opera by Kayelle Allen

Meet Senthys Antonello, thief extraordinaire. Senth is a level nineteen professional in the Thieves' Guild. He's in Bro, At the Mercy of Her Pleasure (his love story) and For Women Only (his brother's love story). Plus, he's in other books as well as a minor character. I'm writing A Stolen Heart, which is about Senth at age three, and how his father came to adopt him.
Here are ten insights about Senth.

What kind of clothes does he prefer to wear?
Relaxed and casual, but he's professional thief, and in the Thieves' Guild, that means he usually wears his cloak, or carries it. The sensors within it let him be literally invisible. That's too cool to leave home.

How do others perceive him based upon looks, and is this assumption accurate?
At first glance, Senth appears human. It's only when close up that you realize he has cat's eyes and fangs. He's a HalfKin. His Kin parent (unknown at the time of Bro), is a feline humanoid. They have incredible strength, ears on top of their heads (Senth's are human), fangs, claws beneath human-looking nails, and claws on their feet. Smooth skinned, but velvet-soft (called furskin). Senth just got the eyes and fangs, but he's far stronger than a human.

Good student or so so?
Top of the line student. His father invested heavily in his education and Senth takes it seriously. That said, if a teacher bores him, he will set a device to record and play in back at double speed so he doesn't waste his time.

What's his attitude about money?
He's been self-supporting since he was twelve, because as a thief, he always found ways to rake in cash. In the Guild, you must be level thirteen to be hired for professional work. Senth hit that at age nine. Mind you, he has a strict (but loving) father who has taught him many skills. So have his five big brothers. Not related by blood, but they had the same Sen'dai. That's the word for teacher in the Guild. It's a family of professional thieves who take their work quite seriously.

It's late, he's bored. What does he do?
Senth is rarely bored. He has a hyperactive inner child who is always looking for things to do. He will look around until he finds some kind of mischief to get into.

What kind of food would he impulse buy if hungry?
Something sweet, sugary and soft, like ice cream. His favorite is chocolate. Nothing on it. Just plain.

Does he know how to fix things?
Break, yes. Fix...? Well... He's pretty handy with tech, but mechanical things are not his strong point.

Personal vehicle or public transport?
Public once he leaves home. If he needs to go out, he has a personal vehicle that he takes to the main part of the city. After that, he prefers to blend in unless personal transportation is required for the job.

Recycle or toss?
Recycle. The universe Senth lives in recycles everything. There are no "trash cans" because all matter is recycled in some fashion.

Earrings/piercings/tattoos or unadorned skin?
Unadorned. He needs to be unnoticeable. Kind of hard to blend into the background when someone can describe your tattoos or piercings.
---
Senth is full of life and always gets into scrapes. He will try anything and believes you shouldn't be afraid of doing anything unless you try first. Writing him is always a treat. Within a few lines of him walking into a scene, he always has me laughing. I hope you'll give his latest story a try.

Bro, Antonello Brothers Prequel

The tech Senth is about to claim will make him invisible. Finally, the young halfbreed thief will be out of sight, shielded from the taunts humans fire at him. But when that tech reveals he has a human half-brother who's bound by a cruel slaver, Senth must find a way to save his brother from abuse and win his freedom -- even though Senth is a slave himself.
There's just one problem. The new Thieves' Guild tech might make him invisible, but it can't shield him from the truth...
