#BookReview – “For the Love of Max” by Gabbi Grey

Blurb

Ironworker Dodge Vasilius has been in love with LGBTQ social worker Maxine Reeves since he first met her at a party when her date abandoned her. She's way out of his league. Except she's finally left the abusive jerk. Dodge is just checking to make certain she's safe. Because making a move on the newly single Maxine would be classless...right?

Review

Ironworker Dodge Vasilius has been in love with Maxine Reeves for the past year, but she was dating one of his coworkers. Now that she’s dumped her abusive boyfriend, he goes to her house to comfort her, never expecting to fall right into her bed.
I really enjoyed this erotic short story, but I wish it had been longer to delve more into the H/h’s lives and family. Dodge is very funny, and I loved how his internal thoughts kept steering him off track. He and Maxine are great characters, and I would love to read more about them.
5 Stars
