Blurb
A stormy encounter...
Samantha DeMartino’s Christmas wedding is two weeks away when her fiancé calls the whole thing off. Word on the street: his cold feet are being heated by an old flame. With her well-ordered world in complete disarray, Sam’s friends convince her to go on her honeymoon—alone. A week at a charming Vermont inn away from the city and her demanding corporate career could be just what she needs to figure out her next steps.
Between his twenty-four seven work schedule on his family’s dairy farm and teaching tourists to ski, Jed Armstrong’s too busy to think about how lonely he is...until Sam sings her way into his life during a Christmas blizzard. Now he has to figure out a way to convince her to stay.
Can a vivacious city girl find forever with a reclusive farmer?
Will her secret keep her from trying?

Review
In this Deerbourne Inn series novella, jilted bride Sam
DeMartino goes to Willow Springs on her honeymoon, alone. She needs time to
clear her head and figure out what’s really important to her, but never expects
a gorgeous, blue-eyed stranger to help her out in a blizzard.
Jed Armstrong knows Sam is the woman for him; the
connection between them is instant and hot. She’s determined to go home to NYC,
however, but he’s not about to let her get away.
Sam and Jed are likable characters. They’re both smart
but confused, living in a rut.
The story is told predominantly from Sam’s first-person
POV, and only two scenes are in Jed’s POV but I would’ve liked more. I love how
Ms. O’Shay incorporated some of the series-stock townsfolk. Jared, the
receptionist at the inn, was Sam’s close friend and confidant, and Karla was a
rival of sorts, but I never did understand why she disliked Sam so much. There
are a few minor typos, but I enjoyed the story and I’m happy I read it.
